Summer Time is here

OK-I have to admit it, I am not a big fan of summer! I don't like to be hot! Sounds silly, I know, but its true. In theory, summer is great-backyard bbq's, lots of time at the pool, summer concerts and festivals, etc. If we could just have all that in weather no hotter than 80 degrees-I'm in! Its those days that get to 95-100 degrees that I don't like. I'm trying to get over it since I have 3 months of that weather coming, but inside I'll be willing Fall to get here as fast as it can. I do enjoy sitting on my back patio, having dinner with my family, and watching my boys play in the backyard, but I don't enjoy doing it with sweat rolling down my back. Yuck!
The summer that I was pregnant with my oldest was the hottest August on record-it was miserable. My heart goes out to every pregnant woman due in August-being pregnant is hard enough, but add 100 degree days to it and some days can be downright miserable. To those women I say Hang in there-its all worth it in the end!
So, I'm going to try very hard to enjoy this summer, even that crazy heat....I'm not making any promises, but I'll try.
